Been chasing front suspension noises. Kinda of a clunk issue. Put in newer used strut assys and new sway bar links but now that it’s colder, 20f I am noticing a “scrunch” sound when I go over curb to driveway. Should I blame struts or maybe stiff a-arm bushings? Sway bar bushings? I’m thinking of buying new struts. To start with.

In recent years, whenever I hear a clunk, I check the sway bar links first.

I bought a 2009 Impala in 2010 with 60,000km and it always had a clunking from the rear. Took me a while, but I found the LR link was bad. I had to replace some on my 2013 Nox too.

I fix equinoxes. I’ve had 12. I swear everyone clunks. I see Rockauto has struts on clearance for $40. Reg price is $117. They have kyb struts for $180. Says they fit cars with 19” sport wheels. I had some 18” oem rims but never seen 19”? I know bigger tires OD can be adjusted via tires series to make them “fit”. I even talked to Gabriel tech line to ask how struts differed from “std” wheel units and they said it was spring rate and not really spring/seat size
