lol, Yeah. We may need to start a political rant thread.
Having a hard time with this decision. I get good and bad reviews
on every tire I have looked at. I think my biggest issue is that it's
running low profile 18's and finding a decent tire in this category.
"All Season Ultra High Performance"
Below is some of the ones I am considering at the moment;
Toyo Proxes 4
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus
Continental ExtremeContact DWS
General G-MAX AS-03
Hankook Ventus V4 ES H105
Yokohama AVID ENVigor
Goodyear's are NOT an option so don't bother :lol:
on every tire I have looked at. I think my biggest issue is that it's

I have the Yokohama AVID ENVigor for the summer.. I love them.. smooth ride and nice thread. For the winter I have Pirelli winter carving ... but I'm not a reference.. took them at the shop.. used almost new set ... 100$ for the set with tax AND instalation

haha! We got 4 inches just tonight! I've done a little bit of drift on the road back home, traction control off, pedal to the metal , go !!

have you noticed that the front tire are getting bad quicker than the rear tires? same trouble fro summer and winter tires

Ok, I do the same but the truck seems to eat the front tires quicker than the rear tires. I've done an alignment on the truck, don't seem to have something.

Being in the tire industry (Technical Rep for Bridgestone/Firestone Americas), I could go into details about some reasons for rising cost. But put simply, look at how much the basic products have gone up @ your local stores, though we deny huge inflation, some economist put this over 20%. But to just clarify why cost have gone so much higher on tires....the cost of natural rubber in the past 24months has increased near 80%. More food for thought, tires take roughly 5-7gallons of OIL to manufacture. We all know what has happened to oil over the past few years, and is on the rise again.

I can definetly tell you about that. I'm in charge of the tires order at the dealership where I work. It's sick how the potenza RE050A is at a higher price than last year. We sell run flat tires, and it's easily 30 to 40$ per tire higher than last year. outch
