Service Brake Assist

I have a 2019 Equinox Premier 2.0 FWD with approximately 36K miles and I recently started getting a Service Brake Assist alert in the DIC. It goes off as soon as I pull away from a stop. I don't to take to a dealership yet because I'm out of warranty. Any ideas? Thanks.

Service the brake assist. Don't take it to the dealer because you're out of warranty.

After reading the comments on here, it may be a battery issue. I'll get it checked and replace if needed. Thanks.

How do your brakes feel? I believe on the 1.5T Equinoxs, this code pops up when the engine driven vacuum pump stops working and stops supplying vacuum to the brake booster. Not sure if it's the same scenario for the 2.0T equinox.

I just had the issue of my park assist light came on whenever my 2018 equinox auto shut off and restarted at a stop. Battery test showed it was low, replaced battery and problem fixed.

What did you find out? did it end up being the battery? because I'm having the same problem

Have the battery checked I also had that issue and the battery I had was original to the car after replacing everything was good again,.

2019 and when I replaced the battery system under the hood (AAA mobile service did it $300) all my issues went away.
