Service Brake Assist

I have a 2019 Equinox Premier 2.0 FWD with approximately 36K miles and I recently started getting a Service Brake Assist alert in the DIC. It goes off as soon as I pull away from a stop. I don't to take to a dealership yet because I'm out of warranty. Any ideas? Thanks.

Service the brake assist. Don't take it to the dealer because you're out of warranty.

After reading the comments on here, it may be a battery issue. I'll get it checked and replace if needed. Thanks.

How do your brakes feel? I believe on the 1.5T Equinoxs, this code pops up when the engine driven vacuum pump stops working and stops supplying vacuum to the brake booster. Not sure if it's the same scenario for the 2.0T equinox.
