Microphone issues

Hello, we just bought a 25 Equinox LT at the end of October and one issue we cannot seem to get rid of is when making phone calls that are connected to the vehicle's system the audio for the person being called is horrible. Sorry if I didn't explain that right. If I call my wife from Equinox, I can hear her great and fine, but she cannot hear me (driving the car) at all. All she hears is road noise and my voice is real high-pitched and muffled. Is anyone having this issue or just me?

Having other issues, but not that one. Definitely take it back to the dealer and have them look at it.

That is a new one and I don't recall seeing it on the forum before. Definitely take it in. Maybe a bad ground or something similar.

I have the same exact issue with my 25 Equinox Active. Were you able to figure out anything?

Does the issue remain the same if you are using your wife's phone in the Nox, as opposed to your phone? That would let you know if it is the car, or the phone. If the phone, try deleting the phone bluetooth connection in the Nox and then pair it again. Also, if the phone is using WIFI calling, try to turn that off and see if it makes a difference.

If it happens with both phones, take it to the dealer.

Also have this issue, waiting on a call from the service manager to bring it in to have it looked at. Tried troubleshooting with reconnecting and also tried other phones and neither worked. I’ll let you know what they say!

Appt this Saturday to get it looked at!
I’ve also noticed I hear something rattling in the upper compartment where the microphone is supposed to be.

Update:
The microphone was out of its bracket which caused it to rattle around and not be near the opening (why it worked but sounded like I was muffled or far away). Works great now! Before and after pics attached.

My wife's 2025 Equinox sounds terrible when she calls me. High pitched, sounds far away. I will be interested to see what the dealer finds on yours.

We have been having the same issues since we picked up the truck the end of Janjuary. Cannot hear her talking on the phone while driving. Most of the time people on the other end hang up. Spoke to the dealer this morning. They said there are (2) software updates. I don't believe it's an update issue more mechanical. Suppose to bring it in today.

Just wanted to give you an update on my phone issue. Truck was taken in today. The updates had nothing to do with the phone. The microphone was not upside down but was just floating around and not locked into place. Tremendous difference hopefully it will stay in place.

Dealership said was just a bad microphone. New one ordered. Will take back when it comes in & have replaced.

OMG - that is exactly what I am experiencing. I took it to the dealer and they are telling me there is nothing wrong. But it’s not true, they think I am crazy! So irritating and annoying. I don’t know how to make the dealer fix this issue. Please, please let me know if you got this fixed and what did they do to fix it. Thank you!

That's what the dealer told my wife. She took it there twice, they said they tested it and there's nothing wrong. They are sitting in a dealership with it quiet, not driving on the road.
They said you had to take the headliner down to get to the microphone. It looks like it might just be behind that upper middle console. I think I'm going to try to take that console down myself to see if it is
a loose microphone, as others have said.
