Help: 2012 infotainment, defroster, blinker sounds not working

Hi all,

I have a 2012 equinox with some issues and can't seem to fix it.

No power to the infotainment screen and control panel, no turn signal noises, I do get AC controls but defroster motor not engaging.

I've checked all fuses in the kick panel, pulled the battery power, and even read it could be a remote start issue but that seems to be working.

Any advice?

It could be the CD player. No kidding. Had the same issues and more with my wife’s 2012 LTZ. You’d have to remove it to get the part numbers from it, find and install the replacement, then you’d have to take the car to the dealer to flash the replacement cd player. We bought the car with intermittent issues and then one day it all stopped. No display, no chimes, etc. I figured out that the alternator failed causing either erratic or insufficient voltage that may have caused it. I replaced the cd player, had it flashed, now everything works.

So its interesting you say that because the little blue light on it works intermittently. I guess I will go to ebay and see what I can find for a cd player.
