I had my body shop go through 3 vendors no aftermarket, I have started an inquiry with GM customer serviceTree limb landed on my new 2025 in Oct. of 2024, body work done but windshield has no eta from GM. Anyone else having an issue like this.
That is insane. I would have never thought there would be that much of a lag in glass availability.I had my body shop go through 3 vendors no aftermarket, I have started an inquiry with GM customer service
It was the same way with the Trax. It was a long time before aftermarket companies had glass for the Trax.I had my body shop go through 3 vendors no aftermarket, I have started an inquiry with GM customer service
Makes you wonder with the way they change up make/models so quickly these days. A broken windshield could potentially send a car to the crusher if glass is no longer available. Or the current situation with the Trax and the 2025 Equinox. I couldn't imagine having the vehicle out of service for months, only due to a badly broken w/s.It was the same way with the Trax. There were several unavailable parts that parked the Trax for several months.Makes you wonder with the way they change up make/models so quickly these days. I suppose this is a good thing for Equinoxes up to 2024. They sold so many of the darn things and made the all the generations up to 2024 for quite some time.
We thought about a Trax for awhile but changed our mind.
There's a lot of them in our small town. Nice looking car for not much money.
I Very surprised also, I work for a fleet maintenance shop and we have windshields damaged all the time. I know with the number of cars out there I can not be alone. That is insane. I would have never thought there would be that much of a lag in glass availability.
The OP needs a 2025 windshield. We have a 2024 and we just had our windshield replaced by safe light.
Last Thursday, so I would try contacting them?
