I keep my expectations of car dealers extremely low, but yours without a doubt, went above and beyond for you for this situation. What you describe is incredible IMO.
In terms of the LKA, I keep it turned off most of the time on my 2021 Equinox because I find in annoying. There are times I...
I got zero pressure to sign up for onstar when I purchased my 2021 Equinox LT AWD used back in June 2024. Not even a mention of it, because I bought it from a Mazda dealership.
My 2021 Traverse was a different story. I bought it used from a GMC/Cadillac/Buick dealer. My salesman actually...
I feel your pain! It snowed for about 10 days straight in the Buffalo area, starting on Thanksgiving. Luckily, total accumulation was only around 3-4ft for some areas. In the midst of it, a flange downstream of the center muffler sprung a huge exhaust leak on our 2021 Chevy Traverse w/...
All Buick offers is jelly beans on wheels these days like everyone else, but the whole Buick lineup looks good to me. I really like the look of the "cheap" Envista even. Problem is, they are only offered in FWD (like the Trax) and they use the 1.2T 3cyl with a wet timing belt that all the...
Looks like you found what's up. Good grief too. On a brand new 2025 no less. Hopefully it's something simple like an unplugged connector. As much as I like my GM products, the general strikes again!
The new LSY 2.0T is a totally different engine from the old Equinox 2.0T. Check it out here: https://gmauthority.com/blog/gm/gm-engines/lsy/
I believe the newer blazers have been using this 2.0T and it's been the base engine in the GMC Acadia since around 2021.
Pretty neat features on it IMO.
Are you using automatic or manual temperature control? I keep my 2021 LT model in manual control.
Your HVAC controls are different on your 2025 vs my 2021 though.
Are you sure the check engine light works? If it's a true cylinder misfire, you are definitely going to have a flashing CEL and codes present. Any other symptoms like poor fuel economy, nasty looking engine oil? This is a weird one.
I agree on the CC as I have installed them on other vehicles I own. Thing is, the hose in question is not where you would install a CC by design. CC's go on the vacuum side of the PCV system. I suppose you could put one on the there, but they're not designed to flow in both directions.
As...
How many miles on it? Do you know what the exact codes were for the cam phaser solenoids?
Reason I ask is, you may have excessive timing chain wear, which is throwing the valve timing off enough to cause performance issues, higher than normal crankcase pressure, etc.
That's the clean air side of the PCV sytem. IMO, it looks like that 2.4 is suffering from lots of blowby, which is pushing crank case vapors through that hose, and up into that intake resonator box. You did good getting over 230K miles out of her! They sell modified oil fill caps for...
Who told you the 2018's TPMS sensors wouldn't work on the 2025?
It is very likely GM changed the sensors to a different frequency, etc for the 2025s.
I ran into this awhile back with my 2022 Nissan Frontier. The 2022's need the sensors to be set at 433mHz. The ones I tried to use in my...
Same here. I find my 2021 w/ the 1.5T to be excellent for what it is. Even with 4 people in it and the a/c on full blast. Good lower end grunt for a tiny displacement 1.5, thanks to the turbo I presume. Mid range power is OK. If you have to floor it once up to speed, it does goes from...
He's got some good videos. I watched that one before I did the first drain/fill on my 2021 Equinox. What amazes me with this video is how overfull this transmission appeared to be. It looks like if he let it continue to run out, he would have gotten a quart or more that ran out of the level...
