2021 Equinox 1.5L turbo AWD

Did an oil and filter change on my 2021 Equinox AWD. Specs say 5.3 Quarts. I topped off filter prior to installing. I added 5 quarts of oil and the dip stick shows over fill??
Should I drain some oil ? Is it possible I have an incorrect dip stick? Do the FWD engines use a different dip stick? Reading on dip stick just doesn't make sense....help

You must start the vehicle first as the oil pump is empty

My 2021 1.5T AWD reads weird on the stick after I fill it with the 5.3 quarts. Sometimes it's closer to the add mark. Sometimes not. All I do now is fill it with the ~5.3 quarts and then I check the dipstick again a day or 7 later, it stays closer to the full dot. I've run nothing but AC Delco UPF64 or Fram Endurance. I have pre-filled the filter and not pre-filled it.
