Using floor jack to change tire

I have a rolling floor jack I would like to use instead of the provided one. My wife's Equinox is a 2021 Premier. Would I still use the provided location that is in manual, or is there a better place for this type of jack?

That is what I did. Just hate being so close to vinyl/plastic and such. I have it shored up pretty good as we have to take the tire to town.

I use the recommended locations with a pinch weld protector on the jack saddle and on all of my jack stands.

Those are nice and relatively inexpensive at harbor freight or amazon.

A "Canadian trick" is to carve a groove in a hockey puck for the pinch weld and use that between the jack and jack point.
