Squeak

I have a 2015 Terrain with power tailgate. It has a squeak in the tailgate area. I had an Equinox that done the same thing.

You should go to your dealer and tell them about the squeaking power tailgate. It maybe caused by a bracket.

I too had the squeak. Turns out it was the top of the tailgate rubbing against the rubber surround. The rubber becomes dry. I used special silicone spray and keep all my rubber surrounds lubricated.

Never take ANYTHING to the dealer for a "squeak". Do you really want to pay $100/hr for them to find nothing. Use a good spray lube and hit all possible areas 1st.
