I purchased a new 2025 Equinox and love it except I find the wiper controls difficult to use.

Welcome to the forum! I suspect like anything new, you'll adjust. Yours is the first complaint about this feature that I''ve noticed, so hopefully it is not a widespread issue.

Yeah I also have a 2020 Equinox and the wiper controls are very easy to use. On my new 2025 Equinox, which is a complete redesign, GM moved the wiper controls onto the turn signal stalk and they are not easy to operate.

Oh yeah... that would totally throw me off. Virtually every car that I've owned has had those controls over on the right.

My 2023 Silverado has the wipers on the turn signal stalk. You get the washer function by pushing a button on the side of the stalk (where my '24 Equinox has the auto headlight button).

I'm surprised by how many unnecessary differences there are between these two Chevys. For example, the tach & speedo are on opposite sides of the dash. The parking brake for the truck is push on/push off (and is on the left side of the dash), and the Equinox is pull on/push off, in the console. On the truck, the buttons for the ventilated and heated seats light up blue for ventilation, orange for heat, but the Equinox is orange for both. The truck's transmission shifter seems to be patterned after an artifact found in a crashed UFO.

One hint on the delay wipers. When the rain stops turn off the wipers because they will stop on their own but they are not OFF. They are waiting for water to touch the windshield and mine did it as I was entering a carwash. It was the heavy duty type with the rollers and brushes and I believe they could have ripped my wipers right off.

That's interesting... I didn't know there was a sensor. I'm pretty sure my '24 doesn't have that. Do you have a new '25?

I just got a 2025 Nox Activ and it rained the past two days. I just set the wipers at a low setting and once I did, they worked like a charm. They got faster as it rained harder, slowed down when it let off and turned off automatically when it stopped. Loved it!!! Just gotta play with it a bit until you figure it out, but they're great once you do...

Touchless carwash is the way to go, if you don't have time to hand wash!

Agreed! I have a nice touchless near me, it does a fantastic job. But I try to handwash as much as possible, I had the ceramic coating applied and the carwash chemicals are pretty harsh and can prematurely wear it off.
