In a nutshell, yesterday when my daughter was getting ready to leave I did a remote start cycle. Started normally, then shut off a few minutes later without completing one cycle.
I went out to investigate and noticed the CEL was on, so assumed it was the code I had a few weeks ago for the active grill shutters.
This morning when she got back home scanned for codes, lo and behold it was a P050D. Cleared it and will see if it comes back.
From what I've seen this could be related to several issues...it runs and drives normally so not sure what to expect, but the weather turned much colder here yesterday, and of course low temps bring out the worst in everything.

Was there any freeze frame data with it? Document it all as it may help a tech if you must take it in.
The vortex hit us in central OK yesterday also. This morning is close to single digits. I am sure folks up north are laughing at us Southerners like we do when Florida talks about a cold 40 degrees. :)

I hate to scare you, but this P050D situation is such a problem with the new body style turbo 4cyl Chevy Traverse that a fella on a Traverse board i'm on went through a buy-back process with GM. He replaced it with something other than a GM product.

It seems that GM programmed in this particular code starting in 2024.

Dealer trip after dealer trip and they couldn't figure out how to resolve it. He had no issues other than the constant MIL for this code and for many of us, our cars won't pass yearly state inspections with the MIL on.

I actually stumbled across that thread and couldn't fathom it ended up being a buyback. It's not a huge deal for me to just clear the code, but it's the fact the remote start is disabled that irks me the worst on these GM vehicles. I suppose I'll bring it in if it comes up again in the hopes the dealer can trace the culprit.
