I have a 2013 Chevy Equinox LT, with the MyLink radio. Recently the Bluetooth has been disconnecting and reconnecting all by itself. Intermittently I get this message that says "Please Unlock the phone or restart the app and try again"*see photo* I have a Samsung Galaxy phone, there's nothing wrong with the Bluetooth on my phone. It connects to my fitbits, it connects to my headphones, and any other Bluetooth device just fine. But when it comes to connecting in my Equinox that's the issue, does anyone have any idea what could be causing this? If there is an update that I need to do, how do I go by getting the update? I know it's on a USB device but how do I even get that? Any advice is appreciated, thank you so very much and have a wonderful day!

Hi there. I was wondering if you figured out what needed to be done so that your phone could connect correctly to my 2013? I'm having the same problem that just started this last weekend.

Found it. Been having this problem in my 2013 Buck LaCrosse since summer 2024. I have a pixel 7 pro. The pixel gave me issues with using 2 sets of Bose earbuds - I had trouble updating the firmware. I blamed it on wavelet (I use for EQ) at the time. Then the Buick started giving me that restart the app everyone I got in the car. Restarting the phone usually worked, but while driving that is a pain. Then the pairing started to disappear. When my wife was in the car her Samsung phone connected just fine. So did my son's pixel. I just loaded Android 15 and the problem is completely gone. If you are still experiencing this issue, turn Bluetooth off and connect with another phone to see if it still occurs. I was reluctant to wipe and reload my phone, but that probably would have worked, given that my son's pixel 7 worked fine. I was concerned it was the car at first and saw $2500 infotainment centers dancing before my eyes. A second solution besides phone wipe/reload is wait for Android 15. Third - I have an iFi Gryphon which plugs in via analog port. You can Bluetooth to that but I didn't work out phone calls. Hope some of this helps anyone else having this problem. I'm sure it was a corrupted BT stack that the replacement during Android 15 fixed. I think the 2013 Buick is running Windows Vista (saw that during a infotainment glitch). Other glitches suddenly transformed my system into a base model that had bass/treble only, no others features besides am/fm, so my original worry of it being an infotainment issue has some basis.
