Lower ride height

I have a 2012 four-cylinder front wheel drive equinox. Due to some medical reasons, it would really help me out if I could lower the vehicle around 3 to 4 in. I know that I can go to a lower profile tire to obtain some of that. Are there any lowering kits available? If I went to a smaller diameter wheel/ tire combo, Will they clear the calipers? We don't drive a lot now, possibly 50 mi a week. I'm not really concerned about the speedometer calibration. Thanks for any help.

I wouldn't swap wheels and tires. I would go with an adjustable coil over kit like this one:https://hiro-performance.com/10-17-...2vxsBuBBwHUnfajUE3vPucP8YKxJ_dFoQXaczms-pvKiQ
That way you can sdjust it so it is as lox as possible without damaging the car.

4" is a lot to lower a vehicle. I suspect it will cause tons of issues with speed bumps, driveways on hills, etc. you may want to check out a low rider forum that will help you lower the car when you get in and out, but not while driving. Some type of hydraulics may be needed.

I was kind of hoping to lower it one and a half to 2 in by going to a lower profile tire. And right now, it's just kind of checking to see if it's even doable.
