This is a sticky that I created for those who want to embed their Youtube videos in threads and posts...

I will try to make it simple as possible..

We will start with the link... This is a typical Youtube video link... Actually its one of mine.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wThdexgEyjk

Basically what you want to do is take these letter after the equal sign... I will try and highlight these in red:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wThdexgEyjk

So now what you want to do is take the highlighted letters after the equal sign like these..

wThdexgEyjk

And you want to wrap these letters with on the right of them:

[/yt]

And this will wrap on the left side:

If you have any issues with this Shaggy and I can check your post and fix it for you.">

Test..

BTW, just fyi...
vBulletin.org has plenty of hacks, including one that will auto embed media in post.

Easy, clean install, well supported.

Been playing with vB, phpBB and other forum s/w for some 10 yrs. now.
Actually using vB
Powered by vBulletin™ Version 4.0.3
on one right now LOL!

I'm just sayin'...

Yep, know all about vb.org. Thats why I think vb is the best forum software out there because of the mods.

Indeed, it's been the defacto standard for many years.
You wanna sit tight on v3.8.x vB however.

4.0.X is kinda wild with good features (blog, CMPS, gallery very nice, etc), but it ain't Jelsoft anymore and upgrade was a PITA in some respects to say the least.

Mind you, it's cuz maybe we didn't understand some of the functionality yet, and it wasn't fully documented, but you can read for yourself on vBulletin the heartache some users went through.
