"2011 Equinox" I would like to see what people prefer for oil as added on a monthly or so basis, I'm putting a quart in every 500 miles approximately. It's always burned oil 154,000 currently just seems to be sucking it up faster. I thought I heard someone tell me that use different oils sometimes that can make a difference. What are your thoughts?

Assuming you have a 4 cylinder, search for info on oil consumption issues. A lot is due to the PVC system being blocked. There is a vented oil filler cap that is supposed to help, as well as clearing the PVC blockage. I think that entails removing the intake manifold.
