This is just a sanity check for me.

We are a two Equinox family and just received a 2024 Equinox RS with 19" wheels (235/50R19) and I'm looking to find a winter tire solution and don't want to break the bank.

I can see that getting 18" tires is significant cheaper than 19" ones.

Looking at our 2018 LT Equinox which has 18" wheels (225/60R18), I was thinking on sourcing an 18" wheel with the same size winter tire and using that on the 2024 Equionox.

Just checking if I get the bolt patter right (5X115) and installing 18" wheels and tires, that should be OK?

Take a look at https://www.wheel-size.com/ for more details than you can imagine.

2023 (don't have 2024 listed, but I think it is the same) 19" has a 7.5" wide, 46mm offset, 70.3 mm center bore, 12mm studs. 18" wheels in 2023 were 7" wide with a 43mm offset.

2018 has same options, so you should be good. Before that, the wheels were different in many ways. So junkyard wheels from a 2018 or newer should do you. Yes, you'll be better off with the 17" for winter tires.

Hey. Not sure if you’re still in the market for a set of wheels. I recently upgraded my 18s and looking to sell rim and tires together. Premier trim wheels with Michelin primacy tour tires. 7/32 tread life

I have a 22 RS with same 19" as your - For snows I bought 17" Michelins and wheels from the dealer and they work out excellent! No discernable difference in speedo readings. And a lot of $$$ saved. I forget the exact size and the dealer stores the wheels. I remember the the parts guy saying the 17" equivalent is also the most popular size and not as expensive.

Hi guys, I'm new here. I just bought a very clean '08, but the wheels are in pretty bad shape with oxidation. When searching for used ones, they all seem to be that way. I'm wondering if I could put another year's on it. It sounds like most of Chevy's bolt pattern is 5X115, but it's more a question of the back space. Any info you can give me would be much appreciated!!
