About 3 weeks ago I too a drive from Sacramento to to Arcata, CA for a meeting. On the way back I was driving on Hwy 20 past Clear Lake when I received a notice on my dash. It told me that they had received a report that there were police ahead on the side of the road. About a half mile later I passed two CHP writing people tickets reconizing their estute driving skills... Now that's something really useful...

If you're using Google Maps as your GPS, it will announce "stalled vehicle ahead" as well as "police reported ahead".

That was probably it. I was using the GPS from my iPhone and I believe it hooks into google maps...

It's still a cool feature...
