If you have, did you use a DSP or a line converter to take the speaker level outputs of the stock radio to low level RCA input for an aftermarket amp? On a 2023 with the non-Bose system. Anyone try it both ways and have any results on either?

Great question post. I am in the boat of thinking of swapping the stereo unit in dash. However, all I have found as an interface are units that do not retain homelink/on star.

This is in a 2019 equinox without the bose setup.

Currently, I am running the following:
Axxess Mobile DSP31, made for the IOS radio version. It is very good for what it does. The remainder of the setup is mosconi amps + pioneer speakers. They are a killer combination, however, it will not win any competitions, if that is your aim as well.

If you find anything, please do not hesitate to share.

I have a 2018 and found out that even with the highest dollar kit from Crutchfield I would retain nothing by changing out the radio. Made me sick since I have a nice Kenwood touchscreen that I wanted to install.

Changing your head unit is a bit different I believe. Our vehicle have different options in terms of head units, in that, some of them, you will see the HVAC actions on the screen. From what I understand, those types of HU (head unit) are not easily replaced, due to the integration.

Hope this helps,
