Does anybody know the speaker sizes for the 2025 RS (Non-Bose)? They don't have anything listed yet on Crutchfield. Would it be safe to assume they are probably the same as the 2024 and back? The lack of bass is disturbing, lol.

I think I read that the Bose was not an option for 2025, nor any premium audio. Which is kinda weird IMO.

As for speaker size, I wouldn't assume it is the same as the 22-24 as this is a new generation Nox. Sorry I have no specifics.

No worries.

Yeah, Bose is not an option. The option it did come with is pretty flat when adjusting bass and other things. Trying to figure out what I can replace them with.

My 2013 Nox had Pioneer, which wasn't too bad. My 2022 Nox has Bose and is way better. I still can't believe they just decided to use a standard system in all models. You'd think if they wanted to use just one option, it would be a premium system. Let's see if they get much kickback and offer premium systems starting in 2026.

I imagine in a few months, info on speakers etc will start emerging as these are around longer. Good luck.

I agree. You get in your top trim car to escape reality and drive somewhere, open up your mind and bam, crap audio

So it's definitely a 6x9. I pulled the front door panels off.

But you can't just throw a speaker in there. The existing speaker basket is built into some sort of mount that is held in by one bolt.

I have ordered some mounting adapters for a different vehicle and will try installing them to see if it works. I've also ordered some speaker connectors that will hopefully work with the factory plug from the door. There is a really good tutorial on YouTube to show how to figure out the polarity of the wires coming from the factory plug. Installing speakers out of phase can give you really poor sound quality.

I can tell you that the speaker in the door is a one way style which makes sense since there is some type of tweeter in the dash. The existing speakers are 4 ohm and rated for 20 watts (possibly peak).

The audio in these is pure garbage. I can honestly say I've never had new/newer vehicle in my 40 plus years of driving that had such a non descript sounding audio system. I took the 17 Yukon on a recent 1200 mile trip for just this reason.

Agreed. If these parts work out for the install I'll post the part numbers to help other people.

I went with the jl audio speakers as well because of their sensitivity rating. They are designed to work well with factory head units. I opted for the two way version just in case the door speakers get full range.

The doors themselves aren't hard to take off. There's two bolts and then the rest is held on by clips.

Appreciate it. It's my daughters car but I'll drive it often enough I don't mind paying for some upgrades that bump up sound quality.

all the speakers are full range far as i can tell, Disabling the ANC and getting into the mainframe through Developer mode to change the audio to PCM , added 1500 watt mono amp for my 2 D4CC Kenwood subs (Bandpass). Wired a T Connector to plug into the factory amplifier that passes sound off to a
PAC SNI-35 Variable LOC Line Out Converter then to the amp. However as you mentioned the factory unit is only pushing maybe 20 to each of the 6 speakers and that just ain't gonna be enough for the JBL's i installed. Especially once i decide on a good replacement for the 3 inch dash speakers. So i have 1200 watt 6 channel im going add , i will replace the Pac unit and wire up to this AudioControl LC7i 6-Channel Line Output Converter with AccuBASS to then split off to both amps. . Then i'll be golden 😁

I'm wondering if Chevy will add the option for a Bose or other premium system for the 2026 model year and maybe it will be something we can get added to our 2025's.

I purchased a 25 RS for @ $40,000 . I should of listened to the radio before I purchased because it is horrible. I figured by now Bose would be standard on a $40,000 RS vehicle. Boy was I wrong! No bass at all & just sounded like static coming out of the dash. My portable Bluetooth speaker and my golf cart audio sounded 100 times better. I finally got so sick of it I complained to Chevy on their Facebook ad. They made an appointment at my dealer to have it checked out. They said my door speakers had no sound. They found a bulletin 25-NA-021 to reprogram the radio. Well after a 2 1/2 hour download, I have some underwhelming bass and dash or tweeter speakers sound like static if you turn it up too much. (they need to work on a better upgrade program) The background instruments on a song sound like crap. I hope to upgrade the audio system sometime because it's not enjoyable to drive. I like my TUNES! I'll keep checking on here to see what you guys are doing. Big mistake by Chevy not to have a Bose system in the RS or Active. Probably will for 26 but that don't help me..

Today my wife drove it to work and the heater fan sounds like a lawn mower.. The higher you turn the fan speed up the louder it gets, and the dash vibrates. OMG !!! Can anybody build a decent vehicle ??? Guess I'll have to take another day of work off and pay for gas to go back to the dealer again.. I'm sure I won't be refunded for any of it.. Thanks Chevy

I also noticed after the radio download, I now have a fan speed display on the screen for the blower which I did not have before. We purchased ours in September so I'm sure it was an early model and they're trying to figure out their problems. It would just be nice if GM would post or mail you their updates for problems because they know who owns the vehicle . IMO

I stopped in to see if speaker solutions were updated. I do appreciate the efforts of so many people in finding speakers and continuing to search for connection pieces.

ALSO, in reference to lawn mower noise. Our new Equinox sits a lot. I have trouble with small animals putting their "gathered treasures" into vents, blower fans, etc.
When I was younger, I found a mouse nest inside of the blower motor squirrel-cage.....It sounded just like my lawn mower. I was never able to get the smell out.

I have the Bose system in my 2018 Equinox and my wife has it in her 2025 Blazer.
It's nothing to get excited about.

I'm sure they will in 26 after the complaints. Not sure if we'll be able to add it on a 25. It would be nice. My 2019 Sierra has Bose & I can wake the neighbors up. :)

Don't hold your breath expecting a bose in the '26. I suspect that you also won't see the 2L engine in it either despite many complaints.

We don't even turn the radio on any more. We like the ride and the road noise is so much quieter/better than the '22 Blazer, it is a pleasure to drive/ride. The Equinox gets better gas mileage than the Blazer, so I'm happy with that. Geez, what a crappy sound system. The vibration in the "Tranny"? Well, that's what happens when the "Genius" engineers merge a snowmobile drive into a geared transmission. It does what "They" wanted, but, it won't take ANY abuse. Like absolutely, stop first before going from reverse to drive. Absolutely, NO Fast Starts. Avoid towing anything. Don't "jump on the gas to pass" Geez, what a crappy sound system. Avoid steep grades, up or down, the Frankenstien Drive won't take it. But it does what "They" wanted. The 2025 Equinox is a little larger than the 2024. What a crappy sound system. Oh, by the way, use ONLY "Tier-One" Gasoline.
What a crappy sound system!
