I've driven 120 miles and used 1/4 tank of gas. Is this bad? It seems like my gas mileage has been getting worse over the past couple months. Tires are properly inflated, I don't drive with the AC or windows open (wondering if I should get diagnostic done on the fuel pump). Any thoughts?

I have a 2019 2.0 Premier and have the same issue. I typically do not run premium but use the fuel cleaners every few thousand miles and that has helped

How many miles do you have on your 2019?

I think that puts you in the 32-34 mpg area, depending on how big your tank is. A lot of folks would love that.

Measure your fuel mileage by dividing gallons into miles driven, and don't be distracted by miles per tankful.

Do not use regular 87 or 89 in a turbo engine. You'll ruin the engine and damage the pistons. This is why the manual clearly states to use 93 or higher. This is common amongst vehicles using a turbo engine.

1/4 tank is about 4.75 gallons. On 120 miles is a little over 25mpg! How is that bad?

Over 42,000 miles since new on my 2019 Premier 2.0, I've averaged 27.2 MPG. I thought that is pretty good.

My 2020 Equinox owners manual states that I can use 87 octane in my 1.5 turbo.

I've ran only 87 top tier for 94,000 in my 2019 1.5 turbo LT. Fuel mileage average is a little over 31 mpg on the B trip meter over the past 30,000 miles since it was reset. Average speed logged is 38 so it's not all highway driving. Oil changes when the computer calls for it, Castrol Edge full synthetic, AC Delco filters. On my second set of tires. Brakes still look good. Just replaced the spark plugs, old ones didn't look that bad. Only been back to the dealer to install remote start kit. So far very happy with this vehicle.
