I'm considering purchasing a 2020 Equinox LT with Drivers Convenience Pkg. <23K miles and within the KBB recommended pricing. CarFax indicates 1-owner, a lease, and minor damage to the rear. I haven't test driven yet, but I expect to soon. It'll be the first time for me with an Equinox and a while since I've driven a Chevy. What can I expect to like about this car, and what I can I expect not to like about it? I'm a big fella -- think wider, not taller -- am I going to be comfortable in this car?

Is there anything I should know or ask about going into sales negotiations?

Thanks in advance.

I just purchased a 2022 Equinox LS with 24K mile. I'm 6'1" pushing 260ish and the ride for me is comfortable. The space I have is great, I've not really driven it much to give a honest opinion, Yet will be taking a trip down to Florida in a few weeks so will be able to tell about long distance comfort and mileage.

I have an 18, premier. It's comfort is what sold me. It has a nice ride and is great on the longer trips. The LT might even ride better. It has smaller wheels and more tire to soak up the bumps. My wife and I both find it roomy. We are not little people. my biggest dislike is the leaky sunroof. Otherwise, I am a happy owner.

I took my Gen 3 2022 RS to Florida when I first got it, very comfortable both ways. This was from Canada.

My wife likes a LOT of room when traveling and I was concerned that the 22 was a tad narrower than the Gen 2 2013. She had absolutely zero complaints. We are both a tad wider than usual.

After 91,000km we still both love it and feel it is a very comfortable car.

I'm not sure what is included in the 2020 Convenience package, but I am liking all the new tech in mine.

Are you buying from a dealership or private seller? If you're buying from a dealership you can check the trade-in value of that Equinox on KBB and see how much more you're paying. I'd also check various sites for a similar vehicle and use those vehicles as a bargaining chip with the seller. KBB pricing data is good to know but I almost always do better just by creating some competition amongst the sellers.

Carfax.com and cargurus.com are also a good place to compare prices

Love our 2020 Premier 2.0t. The only thing is road noise. I’m ready for new tires but want the quietest I can find. I’ve done a bunch of research & I keep coming up with Michelin Defender 2..
Have any of you folks found tires that you can actually tell that they’re quieter.??
Also would like to go from 235/50 R19 to 245’s.
Suggestions??
Tks!!

Two (2) trips from north Georgia to North Florida and the ride was excellent, no issues other than my knee to be stretched out.

I need tires as well and my RS has the same size as your Premier. had the Defenders in the past (not sure if Defender 2 is an upgraded version?), and loved them. I am looking at the Defender 2 but for some reason Costco in Canada has listed them out of stock for the last few months. However, I have an upcoming trip to PA coming up and Costco US seems to have them.

I had Michelin Cross Climates on my 2013 and seem to recall them being surprisingly quiet, despite the aggressive tread pattern. I was cruising in Florida with those babies at 100mph for extended periods (those FL drivers are nuts) and they were smooth as silk and quiet. It was a relatively small sample as my front differential blew on my way home in PA and I traded it in on my current Nox. If I can't get Defenders I may just get Cross Climates - but I already have dedicated snows tires on aluminum wheels, so leaning towards more of a cruising tire.

I have also noticed the Pirelli Scorpion AS Plus 3 at a decent price and they actually have slightly higher ratings for speed and temperature, but 20,000km less tread warranty. I need to research them a little more, if anyone lese here has had them, please share your thoughts.

I have junky Kenda tires on mine. I bought it used, so that's what I got. No grip. they are quiet though or I have the bose system too loud. I will put Michelin on mine when these wear out.
