2008 Equinox - No Electrical Power, suspect anti-theft problem, how reset?

As I was in process of turning ignition key while starting 2008 Equinox, passenger attempting to enter front passenger door pulled door handle before I could press door unlock button which killed all electrical power in car. Equinox now DEAD with no electrical power. I suspect the @$$%^@ anti-theft system is the culprit - how can I reset the bloody thing??

The best thing i could find.
Turn the ignition to on (don't start)
Wait until security light goes out(10 minutes-ish)
repeat for a total of 3 times
Then start.
