Help! This is probably so simple, I'm embarrassed to ask...

On my '22 'nox with the upgraded infotainment system, how do I get to the local (not connected) NAV / MAPS function (the system that uses the maps stored on the SD card)? I know I've used the local system before, but I use navigation so seldom that I've forgotten how to get to it! I.e. when I tap the NAV button, I immediately get a screen wanting me to sign up for "Connected Navigation", and there seems to be no way to just dismiss it, and proceed to the built-in functions. I obviously figured it out once, but my old-man memory can't recall how I did it! I even updated the SD card when I was reminded to do so... go figure.

General update on my '22 FWD 'nox LT with around 35K miles on the clock: Absolutely no problems so far. I've done oil changes twice as often as recommended - at half the oil-life interval (i.e. once at 50%, again at 0%, repeat). Works out to around 3.5K miles each time. When brand new, the oil was down by maybe 1/4 quart at change time, same now. I originally wanted AWD, but there was a FWD LT, with all the other options I wanted, on a local dealer lot; I grabbed it. (New cars were still scarce then.) Even with lots of ice and snow so far this January, I haven't missed AWD. Low-speed traction-control is great!

If anyone can help me with the NAV question, thanks in advance!

Sorry to answer my own question... But the problem seems to have gone away by itself. Now, when I touch the NAV icon, the screen sort of flickers, and then goes directly to the local maps. What happened? Dunno, maybe cuz I hadn't used NAV in a while (like 6 months)???

Anyway, all is currently good with my '22 'nox. I can confirm that it has always made several strange noises, both before and after I shut it off. One that I hear often comes from the lower rear - sounds like the liftgate is re-locking itself (I have the power liftgate). I have learned to just ignore them!

Happy new year, everybody!

I found that if you have Android auto (I assume CarPlay might do the same), when you push the NAV icon, it takes you to Google maps instead of the built in NAV. If AA is not running, you get the built in NAV when you push the NAV icon. TBH, I almost exclusively use AA for nav as the updated traffic helps get around backups to/from work. I also found that i do not get text alerts on my phone unless i have AA running, then I can respond to texts hands free thru AA

As for the noises, I have all sorts of whirring and stuff under the hood, even just by unlocking the doors. I have not noticed any sound from the rear or my power liftgate. Then again, quite often I open the liftgate as i exit the car to unload things. I will have to listen closer, but like you, I have tuned out all the clicks and whirring etc. I love my Nox!
