Popping noise - 2021 Equinox LT

Good morning - quick question! I have a 2021 LT w/ standard radio. When using my Apple pro max 15 with maps, it works fine for a while. But after a hours drive or so - the system starts popping when it should be giving directions!
If I unplug it and plug it back in, it works for a short time ( 5min) then it starts to pop again.
I tried new apple cables, restarted my phone a number of times - no luck!
I also have changed IPhones, my wife has the same phone as I. It did the same thing with my old iPhone pro 13 before I traded it in.
Any ideas ??

Ps: I checked with the dealer- no updates for the radio.

Sure sounds like an issue with the radio. Do you connect the car via WIFI and have it check for software updates? I believe these updates are for the radio, not other car systems. On my 22 there have been no over the air updates as far as I know, but it wouldn't hurt to check.

My dealer does not actually service the radio, they told me they use a local company to do that. If your is the same, you could probably save money by going straight to them, if you can find out who it is. Good luck!
