Read a post on here in the past stating all bearings are made in China, even Timkens. I've had pretty good luck with the ones on Ebay. Have 116k on mine and only changed them once.

That is why it is important to flush and change anti-freeze . Coolant loses it's anti-corrosive properties over time.

You stated you didn't use it much in winter. Is it possible a varmint made a nest under hood and destroyed/ shorted out some wires ? Saw a picture of a main connection box where a mouse made a nest and his urine shorted and melted wires. Just a hunch.

Did you replace it with OEM part. I got one from Rock Auto and when I bent it to conform it kinked on me!!

2008 LS with 115000. Great truck but rust is starting to kick my a$$.

My 2008 is rusting bad in front of the rear wheels. I noticed the emergency brake cable hanging and found a hole rusted thru where the bracket mounts for the cable. I'm waiting for it to fold in half one of the days!LOL

I might be wrong but I don't think a gas guage can be reset. And also it is independent of the tpms.

Having same problem with my 08 Nox. Have read it could be a problem in the wiring harness running to the drivers door. Looks like a big job accessing the wires. When I get some time might attempt to check them out. They work sometimes and sometime they dont. Wierd!

This is why it is important to flush and replace engine coolant.reguraly. The rust inhibitors only last so long!

Changed battery in fob. No difference ! Anybody have any input?

Having same problem with my 08 Nox. I am going to change battery in fob as it is 14 yrs. old and see if that does anything.

Its not just a screw but an assembly. Any auto parts store should have them. And don't tighten it so hard as it is made of brass.

if it's a 6 cyl. there are bleeder(s) above the engine. Don't know about the 4 cyl.

The salt has done a number on them. Most of the corrosion is on the outside diameter of the wheel.

Has anyone refinished wheels on 2008 Nox LS. Was thinking of sanding corrosion and painting but was wondering what type of paint to use. any ideas? TIA
