An 09 3.6 is not direct injection. Only 258hp. The 2010 and never are DI and 300hp. But a2010 is newer crap body style and rusty rocker issues.

Cheap part. $20-35 you want to change whole thing. The hex can be unscrewed. I’ve seen it for $20 at some places I just bled my 09 yesterday. I did head gaskets.

OP is blaming overheating on 1 fan not running. It should not overheat on the highway above 40mph as airflow is deciding factor. IF it overheats at 50mph then it’s not a fan issue. A cold motor will not overheat in 2-3 minutes. If you start it and get on highway it should be ok with NO fans.
