My first bet would have been with the fuse.
Another thing that comes to mind is there was a recall on the climate control unit where all the buttons are for the power seats. I would call the dealer to see if this might be a issue or if there is a recall for your vehicle.

I've heard that this has been a issue. My thinking is that they are doing this from the factory to coerce people to buy the navigation through onstair. I don't have any facts on this or will they admit to this being factual if it were true.

Ours has 105k on the factory Catalytic Converter.
Have you had the vehicle tuned up? I would be interested to know if you have had the plugs changed at any point. I mean, I normally change those Ac Delco plugs and if your vehicle was services with a junky spark plug or not at all. I fouled...
Could be but my first step would be to put a voltmeter on the battery terminals with the engine off and then again with it running just to be sure that the alternator is charging the battery. Those batteries are setup to crank multiple times without a charge.
