Unless by front camera he means the one for FCA and LKA - that would be at the top middle of the windshield behind the rear view mirror (from driver seat perspective). If he has a camera in the front grill, he would also have one on each outside rear view mirror for HD Surround.
Besides looking physically, if the backup camera shows 2 different views, on the left a view from "above" the car and on the right the normal backup view, then he has a front camera. If backing up and then putting it in drive, that left camera view changes to the front camera view. He would also have a camera icon in the Infotainment which you can use to play around and do all sorts of views. Kinda worthless, but I imaging everyone wants to play with it when they find the new toy LOL. If you select the camera icon when driving, it displays the camera you select for only a couple seconds. If you select the rear camera and no one is behind you, it kinda makes your head spin. Don't ask how I know
