I called the dealer to find out that the update will be over the air for integrated garage door opener. When? Sometime this quarter. I wish the system were that the customer were notified when an update was pending and told when it occurred. I called Chevrolet Customer Service...

Just to be clear (and hopefully clear confusion) there are buttons below the rear-view mirror. THOSE are used for the integrated garage door opener.

I suspect it happens under "weird" conditions (whatever those may be). I haven't see the issue since the initial one.

Apparently, I will be notified of field actions and recalls via email or Chevy App center. However, I will not be notified of any technical updates.

It would be nice if owners of vehicles were told of updates that are necessary via email or through the MyChevrolet phone app (just checked that in case that WAS the way they notified). Thanks for the info on additional patches.

51ChevyGuy - The dealership applied an update that reported black screens and reportedly to resolve that very issue. The Update is titled: #24-NA-193: Radio Software Update W52E-176.1.2-M170-SQBR5-250.2 - (Nov 26, 2024). It was updated at the dealership at no charge. FYI...
