I recently purchased a 2025 Equinox and put my 2018 Equinox Snow tires and Rims with TP monitors on. The TPM I am told has to be replaced in each tire as they will not self learn. On my 2018 I used a learning tool but this will not work on the 2025. Replacement cost installed in Canada for 4 units is about $ 400.00.. Is there a workaround on this that I can continue using the old monitors?

The dealership should be able to pair the TPMs in your winter wheels.
You need to visit them again in the spring when you change back to the summer wheels and tires.

Who told you the 2018's TPMS sensors wouldn't work on the 2025?

It is very likely GM changed the sensors to a different frequency, etc for the 2025s.

I ran into this awhile back with my 2022 Nissan Frontier. The 2022's need the sensors to be set at 433mHz. The ones I tried to use in my winter wheels are the older 315mHz, so a no go.
