Software update

Went to my dealer today for active shutter issues/CEL. I asked if there was a software update available. There was one indeed and with whatever else the update fixed it added the garage door programming feature via the settings menu. It works pretty slick also.

As far as I can tell it does not address the annoying and redundant ‘passenger lockout’ message every time the passenger seat is occupied.

What I don’t understand is why aren’t these updates pushed out OTA?

Good to hear you now have the garage door icon.
You should add a post to your Passenger Lockout thread and say a update did not help that problem.

How long did the update take (assuming you waited at the dealership)?

I was there 3 hours but had them checking a couple other things

I just had my Universal remote added to my car. You can also edit the names on the screen if you program multiple doors. It works! Doors programmed to the screen on my first attempt! However it took about 3 hours to add the program to the car.

Hey Jeff, you had to take it to a dealership, correct? It cannot be done over the air? I know initially, they were saying it would be an over the air update.

Yes, the at the dealership -the write up said it was done via USB.

We also purchased a 2025 Trax 2RS. I wonder if this update is available for the Trax?

Someone on a Chevy Facebook thread stated the update is only for Enclave, Escalade, Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Traverse, Equinox, and Acadia. They also said it depends on the trim level of the vehicle. For anyone who has had the Equinox update, what trim level do you own?
