My 2012 has codes P0877 & P0989

Hi, can anyone give any information on what to do when my 2012 chevy equinox displays codes P0877 & P0989?

Those are transmission pressure-related codes that have to do with your TEHCM (transmission electro-hydraulic control module). It will likely need to be removed and repaired, or replaced. There are small pressure switch discs that crack and break over time. Some people buy the kit to replace the seals and discs, while others replace the transmission control module.

Hi, thank you for your feedback and insight. Do most transmission repair shops have the knowledge and ability to get the kit and replace the seals and disks? Or do most avoid the rebuild kit and push to replace the transmission control module? Any idea what something like this could cost to fix? Don't want to go to a repair shop and be taken advantage of.
