I’ve got a 2019 Equinox premier front wheel drive with the 1.5 liter with 46,000 miles. I bought it with light front end damage and had it repaired. For the last 14,000 miles it’s had a light misfire under very light throttle. If I hold the gas pedal while driving 1800 to 1900 rpm it wants to cut out and have a light stumble/misfire. It only does it at that exact point and it’s pretty light but will consistently do it. It never throws a code or check engine light. It will also lightly do it when at an idle. If you put your hand over the exhaust pipe it will occasionally flutter but inconsistently. Does anyone have any ideas??

Are you sure the check engine light works? If it's a true cylinder misfire, you are definitely going to have a flashing CEL and codes present. Any other symptoms like poor fuel economy, nasty looking engine oil? This is a weird one.

Oil looks good and fuel economy is really good. I’ve scanned the codes but there are no fault codes. It’s a very light splutter at low rpm. If you put your hand over the exhaust at an idle it randomly splutters and cuts out. On a hill at 1600 to 1800 rpm it will occasionally jerk and misfire.

Maybe a bad cat convertor, but that should throw a code.
