What vehicle do you own and what year?

Why do you want the horn to honk when you can see and hear the lock while you're next to the door?

Welcome to the forum, ChrisFnMac911. I might suggest creating a signature file with some of your car's basic details, like Lee and I have, so that you don't have to specify those details every time you have a question. You can do that in your profile settings.

I have been through the settings for my '24 Nox, and I don't see any way to make the horn beep when using the door buttons to lock the vehicle. Only when using the fob.

There are a lot of customizations that can be configured in 2025. I found a setting that has to do with "auto lock". When the FOB leaves the car at some point it will automatically lock. When it does that, it will beep. This Saturday the BCM was replaced and a lot of settings have been restoring to the factory setting and that was one of them. The first time I walked away and was getting farther there was no beep. I went looking through the settings and could not find it "yet". I know it is there, I did it once.

My '24 does that, as well. I currently have it turned off, I like to lock and unlock the car myself.

My wife and I are used to the car locking the doors automatically. Last night I had to find the setting so I could enable it after the BCM was replaced. I grabbed a screen shot. I think it has to be running and in park. I had the ignition on, but a lot were greyed out. I did a screen grab just for FYI ...

I got my wife an S24 too! lol
Took me a minute to get it. I was like, I don't remember talking brand of phones. :) :)

I hate it when it selects her phone when I am in the car. Let's go home, and the
(Google) sorry don't have that in your phone.
Not really talking. (me) Yes, you do. (Google) No, I don't. Then si when I noticed it was on her phone and I had not set up the fav in hers. :)

One time we were going somewhere, and I asked Google for something.
This is talking out loud ...
(Google) sorry can't do whatever it was.
(me) "Ok darling"
(Google) "OK sweetie"
(My wife) "hey I am in the car"
(Google) "Sorry"

My wife and I looked at each other and started laughing.

My GUESS would be that you can't. The fob has a lock button and an unlock button. As you know hitting the lock button twice sets the alarm as well as chirping the horn. The button on the door will unlock the door if you hit it again. I hope I'm correct since I almost never use the button on the door. Only option I can think of is press and hold until it chirps

No idea that the car would do that. Just figured out why I wasn't getting any voice commands using navigation on my way to the doctors yesterday. High tech is great but it's more fun when you really understand how it works. I spent an hour yesterday trying to figure out where the voice commands went almost got to where I was wondering if they were ever there. They were and I'm getting ready to post that thread now.
