Hello! I am a 25 year old dude currently living here in Austin, Texas! Just bought my 2025 Equinox RS AWD on 10/15 and I'm absolutely loving it so far! Upgraded from my old 2014 Chevy Cruze LTZ that I've been driving since high-school. Looking forward to posting here.

Welcome to the forum, and congrats on your new Equinox! I guess since people are buying '25s now, I can no longer call my '24 "new". :)

I also just upgraded from a 2014 which was nearly a perfect car. The 2025 is an incredible upgrade from the 14 but with about 350 miles on the new one the radio intermittently cuts out, even the XM Radio. It comes back on but in my 2014 it never shut off once. I'm thinking maybe an update or resetting something will fix it.

In my 22 manual, it mentions that the computers/electronics are learning and calibrating the first 4,000 miles or so, and that you can have some unusual noise, clicks, etc and not to worry about it. Perhaps this would come under that? I didn't notice anything like that, I'd say ask the dealer but they might just brush it off. If it persists would have them look into it.

On new vehicles, the various mechanical and
electrical systems experience a “break-in”
period during the first 6 400 km (4,000 mi)
of routine driving. As the vehicle is driven,
the mechanical systems adjust to provide
optimal fuel economy and transmission shift
performance.
Electrical systems will adapt and calibrate
during the break-in period. A one-time
occurrence of clicks and similar vehicle
noises is normal during this process.

UPDATE I called the dealer and talked to the service writer to see if others have been calling. He said no and he has never had a call about this problem. My original thought a and his was to disconnect the negative battery terminal. I'll let them do that but actually the issue has gone from 10-15 times per day to 3 or 4 so yeah you may have been right.

I Found that my android auto bluetooth connection was intermittently losing connection and reconnecting. Each time it would do this my music would cut off even playing from the amazon app in the nox.

I got you!! Beginning on day one my radio would cut off. Amazon, XM or AM it didn't matter. I talked to the service writer on the phone hoping that they were already aware and would have an answer for me. He had no answer and had never heard of it in any car.
Okay, I did what you did by asking on this forum and I got what I thought was a ridiculous answer. The member said " don't do anything, just give it some time and it may stop shutting off" It might have not improved for another week but it started and got better by the day until it stopped going off. Still have no actual reason BUT THANKS AND MY APOLOGIES TO THE MEMBER WITH THE SUGGESTION. Oh yeah I have an inexpensive android phone.
