I've had the front grill replaced once due to the "black chrome" peeling and it is peeling again worse than the first time. Unfortunately my b2b warranty is over.

The black chrome strip on the rear bumper lasted @ 5,000 km before peeling, that was replaced twice under warranty. I just had minor rear end damage and the bumper was replaced, so I know have a 3rd strip replaced.

Mechanics at the dealer say this is common, they have always had issues with the black chrome. I will probably just peel it off when it gets too bad, the front grill is just about there. Luckily, they just wrapped over top the regular chrome, so if you don't mind the looks of it, it should last as long as the car does. Mine is Iron Grey, so very dark - it could use a little bright chrome.

As for the window, I have no idea why they are giving you a hard time. How far to the next nearest dealer?

Thank you for the reply I've already had the rear chrome trim replaced also, I do have other dealers in town but their appointment schedule takes me past my B2B warranty,I was told by the dealer that the window ripple was normal but when I asked them to show me a vehicle on thier lot with something similar all I got was silence.

After reading your response it sounds like the front grill replacment is a waste of time I actually prefer the chrome look thats under this black chrome wrap is there a way to remove this?

I have not yet tried to remove any of the black chrome, but it is just a wrap so it shouldn't be too hard - I hope. I have never tried to remove a wrap before, but maybe a heat gun or hair dryer would help loosen it?
