Flex fuel fuse fuse in spot

Why does my 2018 equinox 1.5 have a fuse in the flex fuel spot in under the hood fuse box. Any body ever check if there is a ethanol sensor that is there but just turned off?

Flex fuel vehicles are equipped with an ethanol sensor. RPO code of FHO? FHS? Yellow gas cap? Look underhood for the sensor?

Interesting. I wondered how these worked. I'd seen some videos with GMs where their "alcohol number" had worked itself to a percentage that the fuel trims were way off and the engine would barely run.

Looking into this more I do see that 1.5 lyx, the one in 2018 equinox, in Thailand it is a flex fuel. This is used in the MG HS over there.

In my locale, E85 is not even close to E10 on an energy content per gallon of fuel. I guess we don't grow enough corn in NY to support E85 production.
