Ac and fan speed issue

05 equinox. Ac works fine at fan speed 1and 2. At speed 3 the ac light goes off but fan still runs. I think fan runs at 4 also. I thought a blower resistor issue would cause fan to not run at all speeds? I figure a new blower motor resistor is where to start?

I solved my issue by replacing the blower motor and resistor. Look at both parts. If your notice a rust color, check your the drain plug on the back of your firewall. Mine was plugged up causing water to leak on to those components.

Did you change any part of the wire harness? I did have a bad resistor yrs ago where the fan would not work at #3. But my fan seems fine at #3 but no ac.
