2025 AWD Equinox RS

Anyone note that their 2025 RS with 8 speed will not shift to 8th gear? Mine will once and a while if I use the paddle shift mode. Most of the time the display shows I've selected 8th but the transmission never shifts to 8th gear. In D (Drive) it will stay in 7th gear, 2200 RPM at 70 mph. In 8th it will cruise at 1800 RPM.

Guess I never watched the tach to verify. The 8-speed shifts so smooth, listening for shifts is fruitless. I have to watch the tach.

I did the shift count thing. Never went beyond 6 shifts. The other thing is when using the paddle shift the gears are posted on the display. It will show its in 8th but it's not. I've been able to get it in 8th with the paddle and it does just fine but if it down shifts that's it. It will just stay in 7th, never shifts back to 8th. 0
