2015 equinox lt mode actuator

Lost my defrosters and floor vents. Googling has it’s a mode actuator. Chevy garage says they have three. You tube shows only two that are worked on. Chevy garage says the dash has to come out but you tube shows under dash available to change. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Well don’t know what to say. Had a new muffler put on yesterday. For some reason I checked the defrosters and low and behold they are working now.
