Does anyone out there who has a new 4 cyl have a problem with a shudder as the car tries to accelerate at about 40mph. We just purchased a new one and test drove another and found the same problem. Dealer has no idea how to fix and no info from Chevy.

We bought it two weeks ago and have had it back to the dealer twice. They have no idea how to fix.

several issues with the 2011 I-4 engine in the Terrain and Equinox..

bucking, hard shifting..stalling, engine codes, rattling noise when starting..GM has tried several fixes and updated Calibrations..but few have had any success..

Yes, sometimes.
I'm starting to think I should have got the VW Turbo diesel.

Wish GM would fix what ever the problem is because when it's not having a problem it's a great SUV.

Just wait till you get timing chain stretch :)

Did you get your PCM reprogrammed for this yet? OLM is now given me about 6K per oil change! The HFV6 is brutal on oil....

Yeah that is what I am getting... I am going to request the timing chain replacement before my warranty runs out. Wait, maybe not lol I am at 38k miles...

But yeah that's what I am getting about 6k miles per oil change with Amsoil OE oil

I went w/ a recycled oil this time around LOL (valvoline nextgen)....I saw some VOA's of it, and it was loaded with something I think oils dont use enough anymore...anti-friction agents! Figured its actually one of the best oils you can buy for the money (plus 10.00 rebate on the quart)...I paid less then 10.00 for the oil with the rebate.

I'm using the new PF63 Filter (much larger, spec'd for 2011) and that upped my oil to 6.25 quarts!

That's probably a good idea on the larger filter.
