$500+ is a hard pill to swallow, but I'm with you on this. I'd pay it to keep the light out and TPMS functioning.
It used to be common to get about 10yrs out of the sensors. I've replaced one so far on my 2016 8th gen malibu and have another dead one that needs replaced.
The shop I use...
Could you have a bad batch of fuel? Low system voltage (bad/weak battery?). If you haven't disabled the auto stop/start, you need to do that ASAP. Get one of the hood switch bypass cables off the amazon machine for $10.
In general, fuel trims should not be too positive or too negative, as...
What type of code scanner do you have? A more advanced scanner might reveal something. Need to look at fuel trims, MAF/MAP data and O2 sensor data to diagnose further.
P050D is a the new "cold start rough idle" code that GM has no idea how to deal with. They've added it on all their turbo 4cyl engines from 2024 on. I believe some people over on a Traverse board I frequent are pursuing buy-backs on their 2024-25 Traverses because they can't keep the MIL...
I'm curious how the average owner is supposed to know they have a problem.
Leaky injectors can do anything from cause hard starts and misfires, to overfilling the crankcase with gasoline.
Good deal! Was this it's first fluid change? Mine was so black with ~3yrs and 34K miles on it, I don't know how it would survive to 100K miles.
I haven't looked at how easy the access is to the cooler lines on my 2021. Assuming they use the circlip and "jiffy-tite" push lock connections, I...
On the 2018+, there is an electronic axle disconnect on the transfer case. When you press the AWD button, this actuator meshes the front right axle such that it will send power through the transfer case, which will then liven up and send power to the prop shaft to the rear...
I'm kinda glad I'm an old gen-x'er. I have less to be disappointed over with all this info-entertainment stuff. I plug my phone in from time to time for google maps is about it.
On the LYX and LSD versions of the 1.5T, the oil filter is mounted open side up and easily accessible from underneath, unless GM added plastic under-cladding on the 2025. It's all wide open on my 2021. I can do an oil change on my 2021 w/out ramps or lifting the vehicle, but I usually run...
The latest style is a nice looking vehicle, as is the Buick version IMO. We'll have to see how that 1.2L 3cyl turbo w/ wet timing belt goes. FWD only is a no go for me unfortunately with where I live and the roads I drive.
Makes you wonder with the way they change up make/models so quickly these days. A broken windshield could potentially send a car to the crusher if glass is no longer available. Or the current situation with the Trax and the 2025 Equinox. I couldn't imagine having the vehicle out of service...
I haven't seen anything in regards to a drain plug for the CAC, but found a thread with a more relevant TSB https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2024/MC-10250546-0001.pdf
From this thread. You're in it! lol. https://www.terrainforum.net/threads/2020-equinox-lt-4cyl-turbo-46k-fubar.32235/page-2
^ This.
If your walmart shelves are light on product like they tend to be lately, just mail order your oil through them. Sometimes you find a better price that way anyway.
Good advice in having these fluids changed, but the term flush is a misconception. You can't flow ATF backwards to backwash filters. Fluid wont flow that way in a transmission. These fluid exchanger machines are plugged inline into the cooler lines and use the transmission's own pump to do...
Yep, the main thing is getting fresh fluid in there. I would do 2 drain/fills now with a little bit of run time in between and a 3rd in the not so distant future. You will find the fluid to be almost black at 50K miles if it hasn't been changed.
I also added a Votex brand magnetic drain plug...
