I learned something that may be useful, or maybe it's general knowledge, relating to deer collisions. The deer ALWAYS hit you, you did not hit the deer. That can save you a deductible (and fault, depending where you live), as long as it is not too obvious a fib.

I go by average temp - unless I am on a trip to Florida. It isn't that hard to remove and install once it has stretched out a little. But I don't do anything with it if there is snow or slush around, it stays on. IMO, a few trips to work slightly above freezing aren't reason to remove it.
