05 equinox. Ac works fine at fan speed 1and 2. At speed 3 the ac light goes off but fan still runs. I think fan runs at 4 also. I thought a blower resistor issue would cause fan to not run at all speeds? I figure a new blower motor resistor is where to start?

Noisy strut, I think the top mount is bad. Can hear sounds when turning steering wheel. Yes, strut is pretty crusty. Nut for sway bar link came off. Woohoo.

I get a tpms code occasionally for+1 wheel. It says XX on dic. Next day it works. Battery must be dying.

Got a 2005 to fix headgaskets. Battery was dead. 2022 battery year. Charged ok. But no dome lights with driver door opening. Hmm. Seems pass dome light switch was set to off. Duh. Car was driven 500 mi since sept 2023 per oil change sticker. I thought since it sat so much maybe that’s why...

Fuel line fitting was stuck. Kept workin at it and finally came loose. And now dipstick tube is stuck in block. Pulling heads is a pain.

Got another equinox to fix. Head gaskets. Not sure why intake has cooling ports on 1 side. The heads have ports on both ends but not the intake. Assume gm wants coolant to flow in one direction?

Looking for another equinox to fix/sell and found seller with rusty shock mount issue. Their mechanic said it was shock mount. But I’m assuming it is trailing arm mount. I’ve never seen a rusted out shock mount. Ya think it’s just a description issue? Might have to look at it.

Changed assy this weekend. The steering column has spline on both ends. Input/output. It is easy to have offfcenter steering when done. You adjust things and all is well. I’d say rattle is gone but sound remains when you drive over curb. So, it not fully fixed.

I drove 3 weeks before I tried to do a tpms relearn. Seems the wheels do have sensors.

Ironically, if you remove belt you have to rotate tensioner beyond its normal travel. Which can make it squeak or chirp. So, you might remove belt to check pulley bearings for noise. And now have stressed tensioner. Interesting theory. Suppose you could change belt and tensioner.

Good odds. SERP belt has tensioners. Alt. Ac compressor. Many things.
