Kids 08 had 1 fan running on high. Sounded like jet engine. I unplugged both fans and cleaned plugs and both fans now run on lo like expected. But, you changed both fans so it should not be a plug issue.

What does oil look like on dipstick? Is your coolant level ok?

I’m no ecotec expert. It looks like a pcv hose to route air from valve cover to intake plenum. Air, not liquid. The only stuff on top of cyl head is oily vapor. This looks like coolant mixed with oil? What does your dipstick show? Is it black oil?

2014 with 232k miles? I’d say that was awesome. It made it this far. But, that stuff don’t look good. And it’s in 2005-2009 section.

I might have thought rad drain but I wasn’t expecting that color/viscous of fluid. Actually, It’s such a clear well lit pic I was surprised it’s the bottom of rad.

There is a test you can do to “sniff” coolant and it detects exh gas if headgasket is leaking.

On a side note, my pass airbag light on center console is amber and says airbag off? When I do have a passenger it is red and says airbagX2? Like I need to be told pass airbag is now armed?

Sold E tires. Got 2 wheels with pass tires and swapped tires onto nice wheels and sold crappy wheels. Down to 1 full size steel wheel with good tire. And 2 bare vue rims.

Even in the rust belt it is common to see cars with fairly clean underbodies. Fairly being subjective. You can find a subframe thru any junkyard. But you need the unibody portion that is part of “frame”. And cut it out. And find a shop to weld it in. Touchy

Ha. 09 has 2 load range E tires on it. 235/65/16C. Noticed it when I put my chrome rims from torrent on it. Hard to sell wheels/tires with mismatched load rating. 2 pass tires and 2 E tires. People have so many chances to screw up cars. WHY would you put truck tires on an equinox? Sold torrent...

Kids car had odd braking. Felt like no front brakes. Only rear. I changed flex hoses and it was much better. Felt normal again. 4 yrs later and. It feels off again. Odd for hoses to be issue again.

Got an 09 last week. 98k miles. It had no name new tires on 16” Oem wheels and I just put on my chrome wheels and new tpms sensors. Not real hard to put The sensors on.

I still blame the elec steeering boost motor under dash. I used to see them removed from junkyard vues. Vues use same motor. Never seen one removed from an equinox.
