A wheel bearing sound or symptoms should change if you turn to the left or right. It should be worse/louder one way, and less/quieter the opposite way. Unless the bearing is really trashed, unlikely as you seem to have just noticed things.
I know when I shut mine off and am in or near the car for several minutes afterward, I hear all sorts of whirring and clicking things. I never worried about it, and it hasn't seemed to cause any issues, car is 2.5 years old now.

I had Michelin Defenders on my 2009 Impala and loved them. Of course, they are now updated so no idea if the Defender 2s are the same. I have been looking but for some reason Costco in Canada says they are out of stock the last few months. I might just get them in the US on my next visit.

I like the black chrome wheels a little better, now that the calipers give some color to the wheel area. Still prefer the aluminum wheels on the winters tho.

I agree the Hankook Kinergy GTs are not worth the inflated price. Mine are almost worn out, yet my Michelin X-Ice snows have over 1/2 the tread left and they have more miles on them than the Kooks.
