Hello. New here and I have a question I couldn't find answers in the search function.

I am thinking of purchasing a 2023 LT. Nothing special but like new condition. It has the factory 17" wheels on it. I found that on some 2020 models they offer and 18" design I like better and there is a set for sale locally. Can you tell me what years are interchangeable? Are all 2018 to 2024 wheels compatible?

Thanks, James

hi there. I own a 2024 Premier Equinox and it came with 19” wheels on it. What I Can tell you is that the turning radius has been dramatically shortened compared to the previous models.

Right. There was a thread on the turning radius where some people, like me with a 2020 with 19" wheels, complained this thing turns wider than a boat while other people said theirs turned on a dime. One person was able to look up the turning diameter (curb to curb) and found that the vehicles with the 19" wheels (rims) had a much larger turning diameter, like two feet wider.

That means I need to do a three point turn to get into my garage at a right angle to the driveway but I did not need to with other cars. And it's more difficult to judge the turn into some parking spaces.

But you'll never find that information in the normal sales stuff. That person found it in a fleet guide but he did not say if the 18" wheels also had a similar wheel cut change.

Then there are the speedometer changes, etc. but those depend on the actual tire circumferences.

AFAIK, the 18-25 have the same bolt and offset specs.
I second this. Keep in mind that as you go up in wheel diameter, the tire prices increase with it. My 2022 RS has 19" Hankooks which retail for about $430 es CAD. I put 17" Michelin X Ice snow tires on it for about $270 each if my memory is correct. Side note - my Michelin snows have way greater tread life than the Hankook Kinergy GT, for way less $$$.

Check marketplace. People sell take off wheels all the time with tires on them. Terrain wheels, newer trailblazer wheels, and Malibu wheels have the same lug pattern. Check rotor fit if you downsize

Thanks for your replies. The circumference of the of 17" and 18" tires on the Equinox are very minimal. Thank you.
