I agree... sadly all you'll see at most is a billable part number that means nothing to anyone aside from the technician. The tech may not even know what the software does. Its a reletively close guarded secret. If they divulged what the fixes did, computer geeks could duplicate the programs and render the GM proprietary system useless.
Face it, you wont always like what comes from a dealer. I agree that you should be told what's going into your car but some things just don't make it to the customer. It'd be like walking in and asking for a copy of their factory service manuals.
